Royal & PawQuestions & answers

Asked plainly, answered plainly.

The questions the concierge hears most, with the answers the Maison gives. If yours is not here, ask a person.

Couture · Atelier Pelisse

The pieces.

What is a numbered edition?

A piece made in a fixed, stated quantity, each one numbered by hand. If the Maison makes fifty collars, the collar you receive is marked, say, 12 of 50, and no fifty-first is made. The Maison shows the true edition size and never claims scarcity it cannot document.

What does "made to order" mean?

A piece cut only when you order it, to the measurements you give us, with the lead time stated before you commit. Because it is made for one animal alone, it cannot be returned once work has begun; we say so before you order, and a stylist checks the measurements with you by video before anything is cut.

How do I measure my companion?

Three measurements: around the neck where a collar sits, around the widest part of the chest, and from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Leave two fingers' room under any collar or harness. The Journal piece on fitting a collar, a harness and a coat walks through it.

Is "haute couture" the right term?

No, and the Maison does not use it. Haute couture is a protected designation in France. Atelier Pelisse makes couture and bespoke pieces for animals, and says so plainly.

Rituals · Signature N°1

The rituals.

Why no alcohol and no essential oils?

Cats lick their coats and process some plant compounds poorly; alcohol dries skin and coat. Every ritual is made so that a cat grooming itself comes to no harm: no alcohol, no essential oils, a neutral pH and an independent safety assessment before sale. The scent is composed from aroma molecules alone.

Are the rituals medicines?

No. They are cosmetic care for dogs and cats and make no claim to treat, prevent or cure any condition. For any health question about your companion, ask your vet.

Can I use the same ritual on a dog and a cat?

Yes. Each ritual is written for cats first and then for dogs, so one bottle serves both. Rinse Bain de Lait fully; let Écume de Soie dry before brushing.

When does Signature N°1 arrive?

Spring 2027. Founding list members are served first and told the date before anyone else; the price shown now is the price they will pay.

Service

Delivery, returns, membership.

Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?

At launch, to the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The price shown includes tax and, for the UAE, duty; the delivery charge for your address is shown before you pay and never added afterwards. Delivery is complimentary for Le Cercle members. Shipping, delivery and returns.

Can I return something?

Standard goods, unused and in their sealed packaging, within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. A cosmetic bottle whose seal is broken, and a bespoke or made-to-order piece once work has begun, cannot be returned unless faulty. Faulty goods are replaced or refunded at your choice, with return carriage paid by the Maison.

What is Le Cercle, and does it cost money?

The Maison's private client club, in three circles: Membre, open to all who ask; Privé, with a named stylist and limited places; and Cercle Royal, by invitation. It is a paid membership that renews until you cancel, with a reminder before every renewal and cancellation in one step. Members receive privileges, never discounts, which the Maison does not offer. Membership terms.

Can I gift a membership or a ritual?

Yes. Gift memberships run for a fixed six or twelve months and never renew by themselves. Gift cards are valid for 24 months. Gifts are wrapped, sent with a handwritten note and a receipt that shows no price. Gifting.

How do I reach a person?

The concierge answers on WhatsApp and by telephone and email, in English and Arabic, within one working day, London and Dubai time. All the details.

Is Royal & Paw connected with any royal family?

No. The name and the crown-paw mark imply no royal warrant, patronage or connection with any royal or ruling family, and the Maison never shows them with arms, cyphers or heraldic supporters.
