Royal & Paw Approved is a seal for hotels, villas, residences, groomers, sitters and relocation specialists that Maison Royal & Paw has verified as welcoming dogs and cats with genuine care. Verification is renewed yearly and is never paid for; venues may pay only for placement, which is marked.

Q: Is Royal & Paw Approved a booking or property service?

No. It describes and verifies venues. Bookings are made with the venue, and any enquiry about a home is passed to a licensed agent under a disclosed referral agreement.

Royal & Paw Approved marks hotels, villas, residences, groomers, sitters and relocation specialists that the Maison has verified as welcoming dogs and cats with genuine care, and keeps verifying. The directory opens with its founding venues; every one is checked before it is shown.

What the seal means.

Each venue completes the Maison's questionnaire: which animals, which sizes, which rooms, what is provided, what is charged, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Checked

Answers are compared with the venue's own published policies and, where possible, confirmed by telephone. Gaps are raised with the venue before anything is listed.

Shown plainly

The listing states fees, limits and conditions as the venue states them. Nothing is softened and nothing is hidden behind a seal.

Kept

Verification is renewed every year. A venue whose welcome changes loses the seal; the seal is never bought and cannot be.

Venues may pay for placement and for a feature in the Maison's newsletter. Verification itself is never paid for, and paid placement is marked as such wherever it appears.

What kinds of places are listed?

Hotels and serviced residences, private villas and holiday homes, groomers and spas, sitters and walkers, veterinary practices by referral, and relocation specialists who move animals between the United Kingdom and the Gulf. Only places that have completed verification appear.

Where?

London and the Home Counties, the Cotswolds, Dubai and Abu Dhabi first, with other places added as venues there are verified.

No. The directory describes and verifies venues. Bookings are made with the venue, and any enquiry about a home is passed to a licensed agent under a written referral agreement, which is disclosed where it applies.
