Couture · Atelier Pelisse
Hand-finished. Numbered. Fitted to them alone.
Atelier Pelisse is the couture house of the Maison: collars, leads, harnesses, coats, beds and carriers for dogs and cats, made in small numbered editions and, by appointment, to measure.
The first edition
The atelier is being set.
The first Atelier Pelisse pieces are in development with workshops chosen for their hand, their leather and their patience. Until each piece has been worn, washed and walked by the dogs and cats who test for us, nothing is offered for sale, and nothing is photographed as finished that is not.
The first collection, its materials and its workshops will be named here when confirmed in writing, with the edition size of every numbered piece shown as it truly is.
The palette of the atelier: navy velvet, ivory silk, calf leather, solid brass. Editorial imagery is digitally created; workshops and materials are named only when confirmed in writing.
The wardrobe
What the atelier makes.
The daily pieces.
Soft-lined collars and leads sized to the neck and the walk, with hardware that is quiet, weighted and kind to a groomer's fingers. Measured, never guessed.
Comfort before line.
Cut to leave the shoulder free and the throat untouched. A harness that restricts movement is not couture, so ours are fitted on the animal first and finished second.
For London weather and Dubai air.
Light layers for air-conditioned interiors, warmer pieces for a Hyde Park winter. Each coat is cut so your companion can sit, lie and run as if wearing nothing.
The journey pieces.
Carriers built around the animal's comfort and the cabin's rules, with ventilation and a stable floor before any thought of the exterior.
Where the day ends.
Beds, cushions and throws for the house, made under the Sieste Dorée name. In development.
Made to them alone.
A commission in four steps, from consultation to presentation, in London, in Dubai or by video. The atelier process.
Fit and comfort
Measured on the animal, never from a chart alone.
Every Atelier Pelisse piece comes with a measurement guide and a stylist who will check your companion's measurements with you by video before anything is cut. Saved pet profiles in your account remember them.
What is a numbered edition?
A piece made in a fixed, stated quantity, each one numbered. The Maison shows the true edition size and never claims scarcity it cannot document.
What is "made to order"?
A piece cut only when ordered, to the measurements you give us, with a lead time stated before you commit. Made-to-measure and personalised pieces are made for one animal alone, so the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply once work has begun; we tell you so before you order.
Is "haute couture" the right term?
No, and the Maison does not use it. Haute couture is a protected designation in France reserved for houses approved by the Paris fashion federation. Atelier Pelisse makes couture and bespoke pieces for animals; we say so plainly.
