Souffle de Velours

A no-brush dental foam for dogs and cats. One pump onto the outside of the upper back teeth, where tartar forms first, once a day after the last meal. It freshens breath and helps keep teeth clean, with a taste a cat will accept and nothing a cat should not lick.

Taste
A soft vanilla note for you, a savoury yeast note for them. The foam carries no Mayfair to Marina accord; nothing perfumed goes in a mouth.
Form
Mechanical micro-foamer, about half a millilitre a pump, no propellant gas. Nothing to brush, nothing to rinse.
Use
Lift the lip on one side. One pump onto the outside of the upper back teeth and the gumline. Repeat on the other side. Once daily, ideally in the evening after the last meal. Cats and small dogs: up to two pumps a day. Dogs over 15 kg: up to four.

The story

Souffle de velours: velvet breath. The fourth ritual, and the first to come from the founder's own chair. Dr. Deepak Songra BDS (GDC: 68552) is a dental surgeon, and the Maison's dental foam is developed with Petdentist®, the oral-care brand he founded in 2015. Brushing remains the standard of care; the foam is its daily companion, and it makes the most difference on the days brushing does not happen.

Made with

Zinc gluconate, which binds the sulphur compounds behind bad breath. Sodium hexametaphosphate, which slows the hardening of plaque into tartar. A heat-inactivated Lactobacillus ferment and a yeast extract the animal actually wants to lick. Glycerin and purified water, with a trace of vanilla. Every ingredient is of plant, mineral or fermentation origin, declared by its true source.

About Souffle de Velours.

Is it a medicine or a treatment?

No. Souffle de Velours is a daily hygiene product for healthy dogs and cats. It freshens breath and helps keep teeth clean; it does not treat, prevent or cure gum disease, tooth decay or infection. If your companion has red or bleeding gums, loose teeth, persistent bad breath or stops eating, see your veterinary surgeon, because bad breath can have a medical cause.

Does it replace brushing?

No. Brushing is the standard of care, and Petdentist® exists to help you do it. The foam is the companion to brushing: easy on the days a brush is refused, and a daily habit between.

Can I use it on my cat?

Yes. It is formulated for cats first: no alcohol, no xylitol, no essential oils, no propylene glycol, no benzoates, and a savoury note cats respond to. If a cat will not allow the lip to be lifted, a pump on the top of a forepaw to be licked off delivers the taste and gets the habit started, though not the same contact with the teeth.

How much, and how often?

Once daily, ideally in the evening after the last meal. Cats and small dogs: up to two pumps a day. Dogs over 15 kg: up to four. A 100 ml bottle holds about two hundred pumps.

Is it safe to swallow?

It is designed to be licked, like everything the Maison makes, and every ingredient sits far inside everyday dietary ranges. A 28-day tolerance study in dogs and cats is completed before the first bottle is sold, and the Maison will say "suitable for daily use" only once it has.
